MRH Student Recognized for D.A.R.E. Essay

Charlotte Reed, a student at Maplewood Richmond Heights Elementary School, won the award.

Charlotte Reed, a student, told Richmond Heights City Council on Nov. 21 why she wants to remain drug-free.

"I want to keep my body safe," said Charlotte, reading her winning Drug Abuse Resistance Education (D.A.R.E.) essay. She was the winner out of students from three schools: MRH Elementary School, and .

She received a certificate of recognition from James Beck, mayor of Richmond Heights.
