Should Alcohol Be Permitted at Brentwood Park?

Brentwood officials want your opinion. Should alcohol be allowed in Brentwood parks, or do you think the idea is a bad one?

The city added a four-question survey on its website.

The survey follows a request from adult softball league players, who to consider allowing alcohol during league games.

At a December meeting, Jim Patterson, who lives on Hilldale Avenue, said the leagues function as more of a social gathering than a sports competition. He referred to leagues in nearby cities that allow alcohol, and asked that Brentwood consider doing the same.

Patch asked for your opinion in a poll that accompanied our December article. Out of the 77 votes tallied, 57 were in favor of alcohol while 20 were against it. The poll is again listed below. Please note that our polls are unofficial and non-scientific.
