Batteries Plus Turning Pink

Once upon a time the colors associated with October were orange, yellow and brown.  Now thanks to Breast Cancer Awareness, October has become synonymous with pink.  However not all pink items are created equal.  Many items are just jumping on the pink bandwagon. Consumers need to look for those items that give back to the cause.

Batteries Plus has picked up the pink torch not just for awareness, but to support the fight against breast cancer as well.  Unique pink items, of which a portion of the sale goes to various organizations, can be found at local Batteries Plus stores. Batteries Plus is located in Mehlville at 3567 Ritz Center.

Among the items are incandescent light bulbs supporting the Light the Town Pink promotion benefitting the Young Women's Breast Cancer Program and screening mammogram services at the Siteman Cancer Center at Barnes-Jewish Hospital and Washington University School of Medicine. For the more energy efficient consumers, a pink CFL option is available. The American Cancer Society will receive 10% of the purchase price of this light bulb.
