Back to School Sales Tax Holiday Starts Friday
The South County Mall and other local businesses will eliminate sales tax this weekend for back-to-school supplies.
Buy school supplies and back-to-school clothing without paying sales tax this Friday through Sunday.Â
School starts Aug. 16 and South County businesses—including the , and —will be participating in the three-day tax-free holiday weekend.
State law requires the holiday, which includes back-to-school essentials such as clothing, supplies and computers.

- Des Peres
- Ellisville
- Fenton
- Kirkwood
- Manchester
- Maplewood
- Rock Hill
- Shrewsbury
- Town & Country
- University City
- Webster Groves
