Dog Lost in Oakville House Fire

All residents got out safely, but one dog did not survive a house fire on the 5700 block of White Pine Drive. 

The fire started around 6 a.m. Thursday, said Deputy Chief Dan LaFata with the .

Flames started in the basement of the home and quickly got into the attic, he said. The cause of the fire is still unknown and firefighters believe the home is a total loss.
