The Diabetes Education Program at St. Anthony’s Medical Center will offer a presentation, titled “Let’s Get to the Heart of It,” from 4 to 6 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 13.
Elizabeth Patton, St. Anthony’s registered dietitian and certified diabetes educator, will discuss important heart-health topics, including cholesterol and blood pressure goals, dietary sources of fat and sodium and practical lifestyle solutions. She also will present information about heart-healthy meal planning and tips for weight loss.
The program will be presented in St. Anthony’s orthopedic classroom, on the third floor of the main hospital building, 10010 Kennerly Road, in south St. Louis County. Valet parking will be available for attendees.

Cost is $20, which includes all class materials. No referral is necessary to attend. Attendees are asked to arrive 10 to 15 minutes before the presentation is scheduled to begin.
