The "Overwhelmed With Trash" Cleanup

The trash in this location is "Overwhelming." Where do you even begin? What do you pick up first? There are areas that you can walk across the trash without touching the ground.

Let me start out with saying that there are196 tires to be collected, that is what we saw so far. Then there are barrels, tanks, lightbulbs, boats, a tractor trailer, riding mowers, plastic bottles, TV's, a flamingo, car parts, a yield sign, washers and dryers, refrigerators, and, and, and...

This place sure could use Your help on this section of the Lower Meramec River. The Open Space Council and the Metropolitan Sewer Department will be there lending their support for this event. 

The location is the old sanitary waste treatment site and has been out of service for several years. We will be working outside the fence off lagoons and most of the trash is a fair distance from the river banks.
