- Weather: Wonderfully pleasant weather continues! The National Weather Service is predicting mostly sunny skies with a high around 81 degrees. There is a 30-percent chance of showers and thunderstorms in the evening with a low of 64 degrees.
- Gas: The Lindbergh and Union Phillips 66 has the lowest gas price at $3.34 per gallon, according to stlouisgasprices.com. Meanwhile, gas is $3.39 per gallon at the QuikTrip at Lemay Ferry Road and Southern Manor Drive, Phillips 66 at Lemay Ferry Road and Colonia Place Drive and Sam's Club at Lemay Ferry Road and Mehl Avenue.Â
- Local news: Mehlville residents need to take extra precautions as mosquitoes have tested positive in St. Louis County for the West Nile virus. Also, we have the details on the upcoming "American Idol" tryouts in St. Louis.Â

This weekend:Â MoDOT is closing the two southbound lanes on Interstate 55 at Union Road from 7 a.m. until 6 p.m. and the two northbound lanes from 6 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Saturday. Also, weather permitting, crews will have lanes closed on Interstate 270 at 44. The two left lanes will close at 8 p.m. Friday, but will open early Saturday. The two right lanes will be closed Saturday until Sunday afternoon.
