Heat-Related Fatality Claims Life of Lemay Man

The 76-year-old man is the fourth heat-related death in St. Louis County during the hottest summer on record.

A Lemay man is the fourth heat-related death in St. Louis County this summer, according to a release from the St. Louis County Department of Health. 

The victim's son discovered the 76-year-old man on July 10 at his home on the 700 block of Military Drive. The home had a window air conditioner unit that was not operating and temperatures inside the home were estimated between 90 and 95 degrees. 

The medical examiner confirmed Wednesday that the death was heat-related.
