Mehlville Man Threatens Neighbor With Two Kitchen Knives, Police Say

A Mehlville man threatened a neighbor with two large kitchen knives Tuesday, threatening to kill the woman, police said.

Edward Dorlac, 58, of the 9900 block of Lark Avenue in Mehlville, was charged Wednesday with unlawful use of a weapon.

St. Louis County Police said Dorlac carried two knives as he approached his neighbor. The knives appeared to be kitchen cutlery with blades larger more than three inches long, police said.

According to a court document, Dorlac repeatedly told the woman he would kill her.

Dorlac is being held in the St. Louis County Justice Center. Bail was set at $10,000.
