Pantherettes End Season with Honors
Congratulations to Mehlville's high school dance team for an award-winning season.

The Mehlville Pantherettes dance team ended their 2011-12 season with honors from several competitions.
The team earned 5th place in both the small varsity pom and large varsity jazz categories at the National Dance Alliance Nationals in Orlando, FL.
Before the team even received a trophy, Facebook fans were congratulating the dancers on their performances at the national competition.

“You are already winners,” Patsy Riley Widmann wrote on the team’s Facebook page. “No matter what the scores show, you know the team has put it all out on the floor.”
The Pantherettes earned accolades at three other competitions this year, including a special award for Best Showmanship at the Lindbergh Regional, two first places for lyrical and hip hop dance at the St. Charles Regional and two first places for dance and hip hop at the Missouri State Regional.

Nine Pantherettes competed as soloists. won first place among senior soloists at the St. Charles Regional. At the Missouri State Regional, the soloists were:

- Macy Salama, 6th place
- Alex Saali, 8th place
- Emily Dyer, 12th place
- Taylor Bono, 13th place
- Mikaela Hutson, 15th place
