FZN Senior Ava Wersching recently committed to Missouri Valley College, located in Marshall, MO, where she plans on playing volleyball for the Vikings. Wersching has participated in the FZN volleyball program in each of her four years. This past fall, Wersching was placed on the conference “All-Academic” team. She is also an accomplished club player, as a member of Team Momentum. In the summer of 2022, Team Momentum captured a division national title. Wersching’s performance caught the eye of the coaches at Missouri Valley and this set into motion Wersching’s eventual signing with the program.
Missouri Valley College is an NAIA member school that competes in athletics as a member of the Heart of America Conference. Last season, the Vikings finished with a 15 – 17 overall record. Wersching chose Missouri Valley partly due to the school offering numerous opportunities for work study and internships. She plans on double majoring in business and sports management.
