FZN hosts annual Boys Basketball Tournament!

FZN is hosting their annual boys basketball tournament the week of January 27 - 31. The tournament features eight teams: Rock Bridge, St. Dominic, St. Marys, Normandy, Priory, Parkway North, Troy and Fort Zumwalt North. The host Panthers advanced to the semi-final round with a resounding 69 - 37 first round victory over Priory played Monday night. With the victory the Panthers improve to 13 - 4 on the season. The team has been paced by standout Kobe Anderson who leads the Panthers in both scoring (20.4 ppg) and assists (3.65 pg). Anderson scored 23 against Priory.

On Wednesday, January 29th the Panthers will be matched up with St. Marys Southside Catholic in the second semi-final game of the evening that is slated for a 8:15 pm tip-off. St. Marys features Zyree Collins who led all scorers in the first round when he recorded 34 points in his team's victory over Normandy. The first semi-final will feature defending champion Columbia: Rock Bridge and Parkway North. That game is scheduled to begin at 6:45 pm.

The winners of the two semi-final games will match up in the tournament final in a game that is scheduled for Friday, January 31st at 8:15 pm. Prior to the final game, the 7th, 5th, and 3rd place games will be contested. Admission to the tournament is $5.00.
