The FZN softball recently wrapped up their 2023 season. The team fell in the district semifinal contest to #1 seed - Francis Howell Central by a score of 2 - 1. Previously in the tournament the team had upset #4 seed - Hazelwood West by a score of 11 - 10. Although the Panthers failed to win the majority of their contests this past season, the team always packed a punch at the plate, with five players ( Kennedy Morse, Crystal McFerren, Shea Nortrup, Kiana Noel and Jewell Schade) batting .400 or better. A sixth Panthers, Payton Paluch, hit an impressive .378.

The Panthers graduated just three seniors from this year's squad: Sophia Abernathy, Kemper Kruse and the previously mentioned Nortrup.

The future of the program looks bright with a bevy of heavy hitters set to return next year.
