FZN Varsity Dance heads to Nationals!

The FZN Varsity Dance squad to compete in Orlando, Florida.

The Fort Zumwalt North varsity dance team is headed to Orlando, Florida where the team will compete in the UDA nationals held at the Walt Disney World Resort complex. Under the tutelage of coaches, Lauren Jacobwith and Kim Strange, the team has competed in three regional competitions (Lindbergh, Seckman and Ursuline) leading into the national event. The dance program also hosted their own 25 team competition held earlier this month. At the regionals the team finished in the top 10 at each event in the Pom Division, while the squad finished in the top 5 in the highly competitive Hip-Hop division, to top things off the Panthers produced a top 3 finish in the Jazz division. This was the first year for the dance team to compete in both the Hip-Hop and Pom divisions, which are considered to be the most competitive divisions. In preparation for Nationals, which will feature teams from across the country, the squad has prepped with a dedicated practice routine. The team has put in the work with hopes of making school history. The Panther dance team will conclude their season at the Missouri State Championships to be held at the St. Charles Family Arena on February 22nd.

The year’s varsity team members include:
