O'Fallon Needs Volunteers for Annual 'King Day of Service'

Volunteers are invited to make flowers and cards for local seniors on Martin Luther King Day.

O’Fallon residents searching for ways to give back to the community in observance of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Day, are invited to help out at  on Monday, Jan. 16. 

O'Fallon Volunteer Services is looking for volunteers of all ages to help with their fourth annual projects.  

Volunteers are needed at City Hall from 9 a.m. to noon to help create tissue paper origami flowers and decorate cards to be distributed to residents at local care facilities on , Feb.14.

On Random Acts of Kindness Day, city employees visit local senior homes and distribute the flowers and cards made by volunteers.

“We are encouraging those who are available Monday morning, and who wish to strengthen the community by uniting to achieve a common goal, to join us for the King Day of Service,” O’Fallon’s Volunteer Services Coordinator Alexis Jaegers said in a news release.
