O'Fallon Woman Injured in Sunday's Fatal Crash in Chesterfield

An early Sunday crash involves a Greyhound bus and second passenger car.

An O'Fallon woman is injured after a crash involving a Greyhound Bus and another car in Chesterfield on Sunday. 

According to Mary Radcliffe, 57, of O'Fallon,  suffered serious injuries when a car struck her head-on, driving the wrong direction on Highway 40/64. 

Chesterfield police say Nicholas J. Watson, 18, of St. Peters, is dead after he drove his car east into Chesterfield Valley from St. Charles on the wrong side of Highway 40/64, sideswiped a Greyhound Bus and then struck Radcliffe.

Chesterfield Patch reports . The highway was closed for four hours afterward, police said.

The Greyhound driver and another bus passenger were injured in the first collision, and hospitalized. Neither man's injuries were thought to be life-threatening, police said.

There were about 20 passengers on the Greyhound bus. The bus was disabled by a flat tire and waited two hours for a replacement.

Radcliffe was taken to Mercy Hospital, where she is in stable condition remaining for treatment. Her injuries were serious but not life-threatening.
