The EDC currently has two openings: one resident and one Olivette business owner.

The Economic Development Commission makes recommendations to the City Council regarding:

These are made in order to retain and enhance the economic base of the City and articulate a vision of economic development with clearly defined goals and objectives for the City during a rolling 5-year horizon.

The Commission shall make recommendations for the economic development of the City pursuant the City's strategic plan, the progressive pursuit of establishing new business in the City with the intent of creating jobs and employment opportunities, and the recommendation of appropriate development incentives to insure projects that come to the city are economically viable.

Candidates should have a general understanding of business operations including the ability to review and analyze business proformas.
