For over two decades, Assistant Fire Chief Ron Johnson has served Olivette diligently, with dedication and high standards of service. Ron retired with what was, a fruitful, devoted career with the Olivette Fire Department. Prior to being hired on June 6, 1998, Ron worked at Abbott Ambulance and became familiar with the Olivette FD. At that time, Abbott transported patients for Olivette’s non-transport Advanced Life Support Unit. Ron grew up on a dairy farm just outside of O’Fallon, Illinois, attended school in O’Fallon, college at Belleville Area College for his Paramedic certification, and Southern Illinois University – Edwardsville for his Bachelor of Science in Nursing. Ron will miss working with a good group of people, bonding with the crews in the morning, and serving the Olivette community. Ron plans on studying his family genealogy, bowling 3 days a week, playing in monthly bowling tournaments, golfing, remodeling a bedroom, and spending time with his wife, three children, and grandson. Thank you, Ron, for your tireless service. We wish you nothing but the best.

The City of Olivette Fire Department announces the promotion of Tim Fain to Assistant Fire Chief. Tim has been with the City of Olivette for 25 years. Over the years while advancing through the ranks, he has shown great dedication to the Department and Olivette community.
