Five Things Olivette City Task Force is Doing

Olivette City Hall, Police Department and Fire Department may be moving. Check out how city leaders plan to make that decision.

According to the City of Olivette newsletter, a 6 -person task force is researching and evaluating the future needs for City Hall, the fire department and the police department. 

Here are five things residents might want to know about the process, according o the city's website.

  1. Since the first meeting on January 31 the Olivette Future Task Force (OFTF) has met the second and fourth Monday of each month at 7:00 PM in City Hall.
  2. A key question is where City Hall should be located. One option under exploration is the old Saints Roller Rink location in Warson Park.
  3. Public engagement sessions will beheld from mid-August to mid-September so residents can participate in the review and refinement of optional plans with the goal of finalizing a plan inDecember 2013. 
  4. The city anticipates that a bond issue for Olivette’s new municipal facilities will be on the April 8, 2014 general municipal election ballot.
  5. OFTF agendas will be posted on the Friday prior to scheduled meetings, accessible at www.olivettemo.com under the “Government” tab.
