Footchase Ends In Arrest of Olivette Home Invasion Suspect
Man was also wanted in connection with cases in Overland and Crawford County.
Olivette Police announced Thursday afternoon that the man wanted for breaking into an Olivette home over the weekend was arrested in Overland Thursday morning. He was being sought on charges of burglary, assaulting an officer and burglary.
Police Chief Richard Knox said in a news release that detectives located the man in Overland this morning around 9:45 a.m. in the 2100 block of Huntington. After a "lengthy" footchase, he was taken into custody at 10:15.
Police said the suspect, who was discovered by an Olivette homeowner on Dielman Road over the weekend asleep in a house. The homeowner snapped pictures of the suspect as he fled the scene.

The man has not yet been charged by the St. Louis County Prosecutor's Office. He has also been sought by Overland Police and authorities in Crawford County on unspecified charges.
