How Many Calls Did the Olivette Fire Department Respond to in 2012?

Here's a tally on the calls the Olivette Fire Department responded to in December and the previous year. Among the highlights, as reported by the department in the Jan. 8 city council meeting:

Pumper 2714 assisted West Overland Fire Department with a commercial building fire in the 2100 block of N. Warson.

The department responded to 11 calls for service during a during a five-hour period on Dec. 20 with the high wind conditions. The calls were all related to wind and electric wires coming down or arcing either due to trees and/or tree limbs coming down on the wires causing varies issues.

Pumper 2714 assisted Community Fire Protection District with a house fire in the 1900 block of Dyer in Overland.

Pumper 2714 assisted Mid-County Fire Protection District on a 3rd alarm commercial structure fire in the 6800 block of St. Charles Rock Road.

The fire department and mutual aid partners responded to a house fire in the 8800 block of Comstock. The fire was in a bedroom and contained to the same, with extensive damage to the room. This was actually the last call for service from the fire department in 2012 than ran into being the first call for service in 2013.
