Police Investigating IRS Scam That Cost Victim Thousands Of Dollars
Scammer said they were from the IRS and collecting a debt.

Olivette Police say they are investigating how a resident fell victim to a scam that cost the person nearly $7,000.Â
Authorities say on March 25, a resident on Arrowhead Drive reported a case of fraud when at least one person scammed them into giving the money via MoneyPak cards, which are reloadable pre-paid cards.
The victim reported that whoever was behind the scam said they were with the Internal Revenue Service and were collecting a debt. The case remains under investigation.
