St. Louisan Opens Innovative, High-Tech Fitness Studio as Alternate Retirement Plan

A family business owner for 30+ years, 55-year-old Olivette resident Don Eisenberg recently chose a new path of entrepreneurship in the booming fitness industry rather than settling down and retiring. After selling his family business and working for the company that bought it, Eisenberg wasn’t satisfied because he had the passion to run his own business again. In late June 2014, he will open the first Exercise Coach in the St. Louis area, located at 235 West Lockwood Ave in Webster Groves. He is then opening a second location at 13456 Clayton Rd. in Town and Country in August, and plans are underway to open two additional locations in the greater St. Louis area. Eisenberg is a perfect example of the type of client The Exercise Coach caters to most: baby boomers. He also fits the trend of many of the company’s franchisees as he, too, is opening the business as an alternate retirement plan.

“After testing out The Exercise Coach's tech-enabled workout, it was a done deal,” said Eisenberg. “Its immediate effectiveness is superior to any average, big-box gym or traditional exercise method. At first, I was skeptical of the impact of only two 20-minute workouts twice a week.  However, after trying the technology myself, I realized it was unlike any I've ever experienced before, the difference was dramatic.  The innovative technology along with a great multi-unit franchise business model sold me on The Exercise Coach."

The Exercise Coach, powered by its proprietary fitness system which is a combination of the most advanced exercise technologies in the country, is a national franchise that offers a unique, comprehensive approach to fitness designed with the unlikely exerciser in mind -- catering to the average busy professional or baby boomer. Clients perform just two 20-minute sessions per week, combining bio-adaptive exercise technology using specialized exercise equipment and with the knowledge and encouragement of personal coaches. The centers create a dynamic exercise experience that is suitable for people of all fitness and confidence levels.
