9 Fun Things Happening in August
Check out these not-to-miss events happening in and around St. Charles.

- St. Charles City-County Library District Book Fair: The annual book fair will run from Aug. 3-5 at the St. Charles Convention Center. Friday, doors open at 9 a.m. and the cost is $10 to get in. Entry is free on Saturday and Sunday.
- MR340 Finishes in St. Charles: Be sure to head to Bishop's Landing on Aug. 3 for the finale of the MR340 a kayak and canoe race from Kansas City to St. Charles. will have free admission from Aug. 1-3 from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. and will sell barbecue from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. Aug. 2-3. Winners will start to arrive Thursday night and into Friday morning.
- Outdoor movies at New Town St. Charles: Head to the New Town Amphitheatre at sundown to watch a movie under the stars. Schedule line up for August includes "Winnie the Pooh" Aug. 3, "Big Miracle" Aug. 17 and "Hugo" Aug. 31.
- Silver and Gold Healthy Living Senior Fair: Aug. 7, 10 a.m. at the St. Charles Convention Center. Entrance is free. Check out hundreds of vendors, watch the St. Louis Strutters perform and more.
- Summerland Tour at the : Everclear, Sugar Ray, Lit and Marcy Playground will perform in St. Charles on Aug. 7. Showtime is 7 p.m.. For tickets, head here.
- St. Charles Municipal Band plays each Thursday at 8 p.m. in or check out the St. Charles Community Big Jazz band on Sunday, Aug. 12. in Frontier Park.
- Festival of the Little Hills: This is among the biggest festivals that happen in St. Charles each year and features crafters and artisans from across the country. The event runs Aug. 17-19 and starts at 4 p.m. Friday.
- Greater St. Charles Fashion Week will run Aug. 22-25 at
