Greg Marecek Appointed to Midwest BankCentre St. Charles County Regional Board

Greg Marecek, founder and president of the St. Louis Sports Hall of Fame in downtown St. Louis, Mo., has been appointed to the Midwest BankCentre St. Charles County Regional Board.  

Founded in 2009, the St. Louis Sports Hall of Fame provides a factual, entertaining environment in which youth can identify and learn about sport history. The group offers special events, lectures, on- the-field training and leadership in the sports community.

Marecek serves as a celebrity host for events benefiting the Alzheimer’s Association, St. Louis Chapter. In 2006, he was inducted in the Missouri Sports Hall of Fame for broadcasting. Marecek is a former television voice personality for the St. Louis Blues, the University of Missouri Tigers, the St. Louis University Billikens and ESPN college basketball. He has authored four books about the St. Louis Hawks (basketball), the St. Louis Cardinals (football) and the St. Louis Cardinals (baseball). He is a frequent event speaker and emcee throughout the Midwest. Marecek is chairman of the Webster High School Sports Hall of Fame and sits on the advisory board for the Missouri Sports Hall of Fame

He earned his bachelor’s degree from Washington University in St. Louis, Mo.
