Juniors in Anne Woods’ Advanced American History class at Orchard Farm High School will hold an all-school assembly in honor of Veterans Day at 1:40 p.m. on Friday, Nov. 11.
The students planned the assembly as part of a class project. The program will include the presentation of colors by members of the , student and guest speakers, and slideshow honoring Orchard Farm veterans.
“One of the reasons we do this is to make sure our kids know how much the service of these men and women means,” said Woods. “We all know someone with a family member who served, and we should all be thankful for the sacrifices that our military personnel have made.”

The class has invited veterans to attend the assembly and will hold a reception for veterans following the assembly.
