Rosemarie Harris Appointed Director of Security for SSM Health Care North Operating Group

Rosemarie Harris has been appointed to director of security for SSM Health Care – St. Louis’ North Operating Group, which includes five locations - SSM DePaul Health Center, SSM St. Joseph Health Center, SSM St. Joseph Health Center – Wentzville, SSM St. Joseph Hospital West and SSM St. Joseph Medical Park.

 Harris, who began in her new role on June 6, oversees safety and security functions for the operating group and manages security personnel in these locations. Her duties includes managing the group’s budget, developing and implementing security procedures, working closely with city officials and law enforcement and ensures all the hospitals have a safe and secure environment.

Before coming to SSM, Harris served at the manager of public safety and parking at St. Louis Children’s Hospital since 2007. She is a member of the Missouri Police Chief’s Association in St. Louis and has a close relationship with law enforcement in the region. She also is a national trainer for the Anti-Defamation League.

Harris graduated from the Indiana Law Enforcement Academy and the FBI National Academy. She also received bachelor’s degrees in general studies, public affairs, and criminal justice from Indiana University and a master’s degree in marketing and communication from Franklin University.
