Each summer the St. Charles Chamber of Commerce holds a summer food drive. This drive is conducted May through September each year and businesses are encouraged to host food drives through their company to help the hungry in the St. Charles area.
The Chamber is doing a food collection day on Saturday, Aug. 20 at Mid-Towne IGA 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Volunteers will stand at the two entrances of Mid-Towne IGA and pass out "shopping lists" to patrons and collect the donated items when they exit the store.
The Chamber is looking for members of the chamber who are interested in volunteering for three-hour shifts on this day. Contact the Chamber office at 636-946-0633 for more information or to sign up.
