Workplace Wellness Summit

As the national dialogue continues about healthcare costs, wellness and the obesity crisis, local leaders will be hosting a Workplace Wellness Summit starting 7:30 a.m. Monday, April 2 at the new Spencer Road Library in St. Peters to discuss trends and practical new ideas for area employers.

The summit is hosted by the Partners for Progress of Greater St. Charles (PfP), a civic group founded in 2001 to influence community progress so people, businesses and institutions flourish.

Keynote speakers will include Steven Lipstein, president and chief executive officer of BJC HealthCare; Dr. Susan Racette from the Washington University - School of Medicine, Amy Stringer-Hessel of the Missouri Foundation for Health, and Mayor Chip Johnson of Hernando, Mississippi.

The half-day event begins with breakfast and vendors exhibit at 7:30 a.m. with the speakers program beginning 8:30 a.m. The summit concludes with healthy cooking demonstrations and food tasting at 12 noon.

“Every business and organization who attends this first annual summit will leave with concrete ideas on how to improve productive and reduce costs while promoting employee health and wellness,” said PfP President Greg Prestemon.
