Attacker Hit Man's Jaw, Causing Compound Fracture and Cut Ear, Police Say

St. Charles Police said Dominic Ewing was upset about his missing cell phone and confronted and assaulted the man.

A man is accused of breaking another man’s jaw and injuring the ear of another St. Charles resident Feb. 20.

Dominic Ewing, of the first block of Buckingham Place in St. Charles, was charged Monday with second-degree assault.

St. Charles Police said a man was lured to the 1700 block of North 4th Street in St. Charles, where Ewing met him. Ewing was upset over the whereabouts of his cell phone, according to police.

Ewing hit the man in the chest and the jaw, causing a compound jaw fracture and a lacerated ear, according to a court documents.

Ewing is being held in St. Charles County jail.  Bail was set at $20,000, cash only.
