Cars Vandalized Outside Convention Center, Buffalo Wild Wings

The following arrest information was supplied by the St. Charles Police Department. It does not indicate a conviction.

Five vehicles parked outside at the had their driver’s side lock or door handles pried open between 10 p.m. Oct. 23 and early morning Oct. 24.

One car had stereo equipment valued at $200 stolen from their vehicle. Another car that was broken into overnight between 10 p.m. Oct. 24 and 10:30 a.m. Oct. 25. The Door lock was pried and punched and a sweatshirt was stolen.

Six vehicles parked outside of or nearby were reportedly broken into or damaged between 6 p.m. and 9 p.m. Oct. 23.

One woman discovered the side window of a car was shattered and the vehicle ransacked. Another car had the driver’s side door locked punched in but nothing was taken. Other cars had damaged door handles.

At least one person had property taken valued at $500.

Other reports of stealing between Oct. 19 and 24

  • Stereo equipment valued at $1,100 was reportedly stolen from a car parked in the 700 block of South 6th Street around 3 p.m. Oct. 19. According to police reports, one suspect is in custody and one is still at large.
  • A catalytic converter was reportedly stolen from a parked car on a computer lot at Veterans Memorial Parkway and Zumbehl Road between 6 a.m. and 4 p.m. Oct. 19.
  • License plate and tabs were reportedly stolen from a 2011 Chevrolet Malibu which was parked in the Dierbergs lot at 2021 Zumbehl Road. The plates were taken between 12:45 p.m. and 9 p.m. Oct. 19.
  • A credit card and gasoline card were reported stolen from a Ford Fusion parked in the driveway of a home on Essex Drive between 6:55 p.m. Oct. 19 and 7:15 a.m. Oct. 20.
  • A car was reportedly broken into between 7:30 p.m. Oct. 19 and 7:30 a.m. Oct. 20 at Rebecca Drive in St. Charles.
  • A bicycle was reported stolen from a man who was in a gas station on First Capitol Drive at 6:41 p.m. Oct. 23.
  •  About $736 in property was taken from a car parked at First Capitol Drive between 7:40 p.m. and 9 p.m. Oct. 23.  Among the items stolen were a hoodie, bamboo spoon, soap, an Xbox 360 video game console and a Grand Theft Auto video game.
