Komen Race for the Cure in memory of New Town resident Lisa Brewer. A "Paint New Town Pink" event is cheduled for 5-8 p.m. Oct. 15.

- The Second-Hand Rose will offer a 10 percent discount on anything except fresh flowers to people wearing pink during the event.

- will have a pink dinosaur donation bank, pink lemonade and pink sugar cookies.
- will have pink Farmer's Insurance mugs.
- will have a massage therapist available.
- Mary Kay Cosmetics will donate 15 percent of sales Oct. 15.
