Big stories generate conversation in our community. When the city , several St. Charles residents talked about the pros and cons on our Facebook page. When I worked on the candidate questionnaire for upcoming elections, I asked readers what questions they'd like to ask and included those in reporting.

3) Keep Your Neighbors Informed

When folks have questions about new businesses (), weather (with photos of hail after recent storms) and more, they turn to each other on our Facebook page to get answers. Let's help keep each other informed.

4) Stay Connected With Neighbors and Strangers

At Patch, it's not always about breaking news. Sometimes we just like a great conversation — like talking about plans for the weekend, sharing new recipes and memories of St. Charles.

5) Extended Photo Galleries

We take every opportunity to post extended photo galleries on our Facebook page, like the Festival of the Little Hills in August or the Sarah Palin/Glenn Beck rally in October. These photo galleries don't always make it to the Patch website, but you can see every photo on Facebook (and even add some yourself!).
