High-Speed Chase That Began in St. Charles Ends With Three Arrested

Fox 2 reports three men were arrested after leading police on a 15 mile pursuit.

A high-speed police chase that began in St. Charles ended in Ferguson with the arrest of three men. 

According to a report on Fox 2, the Missouri State Highway Patrol saw Michael J. Montgomery, 30, of St. Louis, swerving on the Blanchette Bridge on Interstate 70 in St. Charles. The Patrol trooper followed Montgomery until the chase ended 15 miles away behind a Home Depot on Pershall Road and Old Halls Ferry in Ferguson. Troopers  told Fox 2 that Montgomery crashed his car in a drainage ditch. Montgomery and the two passengers inside the tried to flee.

Fox 2 reports that one man had to be taken by ambulance to the hospital following his arrest. Another man was captured close to the car and the third tried to take off across the parking lot before being caught.

The Highway Patrol told Fox 2 Montgomery had six warrants for his arrest in Breckenridge Hills. He has been charged with resisting arrest and driving while intoxicated. He is being held in St. Louis County without bond.
