High Winds Knock Out Power to Half of Main Street Thursday

Wind, snow left streets wet and Main Street largely deserted Thursday afternoon.

High winds knocked out power to about 10 percent of Ameren UE customers in the St. Charles area on Thursday.

The western half of Main Street in St. Charles was out of power Thursday afternoon, causing many shops to close early.

Owners of Little O's Soda Shop posted on Facebook that they were sorry to have to close, but glad to be able to get some Christmas shopping finished.
