Orphaned Cat With Special Needs Looks for a Family

Looking to add something four-footed and furry to your family? Heartland Humane Society and Five Acres Animal Shelter have lots of dogs and cats just waiting for a forever home like yours.

Lil’ Orphan Annie: This kitty was rescued as a tiny baby and bottle fed as she was (obviously) an orphan! What makes her a bit different is a challenge with perfect gait while walking.  Annie marches with her back legs but walks perfectly with her front.  She plays with her kitty friends and chases, and jumps through kitty toys just fine, but is slow in her walking and very careful when climbing in and out of the litter box.  It is as if in running her brain forgets there is a problem, in walking it is quite obvious something is not perfectly connected there.  Annie has shared a room with two three legged boys for many months and they wrestle and play very well together.  New kitties frighten her at first and she makes a bit of noise out of fear, but it is all noise.  Within a week she is settled with the new comers and just fine sharing her space.  Older and more patient kids are just fine, but Annie cannot get out of the way if kids are chasing or running around her slightly challenged body.  Annie may not be declawed!  She is dealing with a slight disability and challenging her with removing knuckles used for balance is not acceptable.   She loves petting and cuddling and chasing toys and friends and absolutely loves cat nip spray!  Annie is spayed, up to date on all shots, negative for FIV and FeLV, micro chipped, and treated for parasites.  Annie is Heartland #7038
