Rockers of St. Charles, a bar at the corner of Monroe and N Main St in Historic Downtown, will host Pat Liston of Mama's Pride for its live music next Wednesday night, July 24, from 7:30 to 10:30.
Pat Liston was one of the founding members of Mama's Pride, "a band known, with great affection, as 'The Pride of St. Louis'," in the 1970s, according to Liston's biography at PatListon.com.
Liston was also one of several people interviewed in the recently released HEC-TV documentary, "Something in the Water: A St. Louis Rockumentary," about the classic rock music scene in and around the St. Louis area in the late 1960s and early '70s.
