Man Stabbed During Fight

St. Charles Police reports Feb. 16-21.

Man Stabbed

A 48-year-old man was stabbed several times after a 27-year-old suspect drove to his residence in the 80 block of Greendale Court to initiate a fight, according to police. The suspect argued with the 48-year-old and pulled a knife out of his waistband and stabbed him three or four times in the abdoman.

During the same fight another man was struck in the face and a woman had a laceration above her knuckles. The victim was taken to The 27-year-old was taken into custody and released. The Prosecuting Attorney’s department took the incident under advisement but did not issue warrants for the man’s arrest or press charges, police said.

Rape Reported

A 22-year-old woman reported to police that she felt she had been taken advantage of after she went to a party and had sex with a person there. Her parents insisted on a rape report, police said, but the woman declined to pursue charges.

Police are still investigating the reported rape of a resident at a nursing home in the 2800 block of West Clay Jan. 31. The victim and the suspect are both residents. Police are awaiting lab results from physical evidence collected before proceeding further.

Moto Mart Robbed

Police are searching for a man who was wearing black shoe polish on his face and pink swim goggles while he robbed the on north Highway 94 at   at 3 a.m. Feb. 21. The man was described as a white male about 25 to 30 years old, 5’6” to 5’8” and was also wearing a dark-colored hooded sweatshirt. He took money at  knife-point and put it into a black purse before leaving. No arrests have been made.

VFW Post Robbed

Two beer tappers and a 32-inch television were stolen from the Feb. 21. Police said the front door handle was poorly secured and the door itself fit poorly in the frame. Modest pressure would call the door lock to fail, police said.

Cars Stolen

A 1996 green Lexus LS was taken for a test drive from Gallagher Motors on North Second Street and never returned Feb. 16. St. Louis Police later recovered the car undamaged in the 7100 block of South Lindbergh. The man who took the car has been identified because the dealership got a copy of his driver's licesense. He is wanted by police.

Deposit Theft

Police are investigating a possible employee theft at on South Main Street. A deposit is missing and it could be employee theft, police said.

Stealing from a motor vehicle

There were at least 10 reports filed of items stolen from motor vehicles across the city Feb. 16-21. Items were reportedly taken on:

  • Feb. 17 from vehicles parked in the 700 block of North Kingshighway.
  • Feb. 18 from a vehicle in the 3300 block of Leverenz, a vehicle parked in Inwood Court and a vehicle in the 1100 block of Lancaster Drive.
  • Feb. 19 from a car parked in the 200 block of south Highway 94 and from a vehicle parked in the 1500 block of Bass Pro Drive.
  • Feb. 21 from a vehicle in the 90 block of Pembrook, a vehicle in the 70 block of Brookshire, from a vehicle parked in the 2500 block of Charwood, from a vehicle parked in the 300 block of First Capitol Drive.
