Padavan's NY Wins as Patch Readers' Favorite Eatery

The Patch Pick 'Em contest pitted 64 local restaurants in a bracket competition during March and April.

Patch readers have spoken—quite loudly and repeatedly—and when all was said and done, St. Charles' Padavan's NY was crowned the winner of our 2013 readers' choice competition for local eateries.

If that sounds familiar to you, you may remember that Padavan's won last year's incarnation of the competition, Munch Madness. So Padavan's gets extra congratulations for winning the competition two years in a row!

This year's St. Charles County's Patch Pick 'Em ran along the same lines as the much-hyped college basketball tournament, except it used St. Charles County restaurants instead of college basketball squads.

Sixty-four restaurants entered the field when the bracket debuted March 13. Readers picked which restaurants would advance.

Padavan's breezed its way to the championship round, defeating Picasso's, Llywelyn's, Bike Stop Café and Erio's.

Congratulations to Padavan's and Fritzs Frozen Custard for making it to the finals, and a huge thanks to all of the Patch readers who participated in the event!
