Police are searching for a man who robbed CJ's Cleaners.

Suspect Wanted for Hold Up of Cleaners

  • Police are still searching for a man who robbed at 2017 Zumbehl Road around 4:30 p.m. April 28. The suspect is described as a 6' to 6'2" black male in his 20s  who was wearing a light colored shirt and baggy jeans, said Lt. Mike Akers, public information officer with the St. Charles Police Department. The suspect entered the shop, asked for the money, then barricaded a clerk in a bathroom. The investigation is ongoing.

Purse Snatching

  • A purse was reportedly stolen from a woman who was sitting outside , 101 North Main Street around 12:50 p.m. April 29.  A male suspect grabbed the woman's purse off the patio table and ran. A suspect was arrested and taken into custody, Akers said.

  • About $40,000 in equipment was reported missing from Eisen Panel Systems, 3300 Panel Way, on May 2. A manager went to a tool room and saw the door handle was broken off, then realized that many tools were missing, mostly screw guns and hammer drills.
  • A woman's wallet containing credit cards and cash was reportedly taken from the President's Conference Room atbetween 3 p.m. and 6:30 p.m April 28.
  • A jar of change was the only thing reported missing from a house in the 1000 block of Picardy Lane which was reportedly broken into between April 28 and 29 overnight. Two basement windows had been tampered with and a back door had been pried open. Police have identified a possible suspect. 
  • An American Eagle jacket and two textbooks were reportedly taken out of a locker that had been forced open at . The items were reported missing around 9:45 a.m. April 27.
  • A roto hammer drill was reported stolen from a construction storage vault in the 500 block of Fountain Lakes Drive on April 25. 
  • Copper welding leads were reported stolen from a business vehicle parked outside a residence in the 200 block of Bayard Street on April 23. The welding leads were reportedly cut off of the bed-mounted welder.
  • A man who bought a mobile home from a woman on Craigslist.org for $1,800 later found out that the owner of that home, located in the 70 block of Brookside, was being evicted because the trailer was in such poor condition. He reported it to police on April 22. 
  • A 51-year-old man is suspected of stealing a wallet from his friend's house in the 800 block of North 2nd Street on April 21. The man was seen on video using a credit card from that wallet. The information has been forwarded to the prosecuting attorney's office, Akers said.
  • A 31-year-old man allegedly pulled a gun out of the glovebox of a car he had been riding in with a friend and pointed it at the back of that friend's head once they got out of the car on April 20. The pair had been at a baseball game and had been drinking. The incident happened in the 3200 block of Bentwater Place.
