Police Reports: Woman Steals Bag of Coffee Beans from Drive-Thru

St. Charles police reports are provided by the St. Charles Police Department. An arrest does not indicate a conviction. 

Driving While Intoxicated 

• Police arrested someone for driving while intoxicated at Ameristar Blvd and South Fifth Street around 1 a.m. Nov. 7. 
• Police arrested someone for driving while intoxicated at First Capitol and South Fifth Street around 12:30 a.m. Nov. 8.

Protective Custody

• Police took a man into protective custody after they saw him staggering down Main Street and then jumped onto the hood of a taxi cab around 1 a.m. Nov. 7. 
• An intoxicated woman was taken into custody after she created a disturbance when people tried to stop her from driving her car. The woman was given opportunities to take a taxi on scene, according to police. The incident happened at North Riverside Drive and Monroe Street around 1:35 a.m. Nov. 9.

Stealing

• A woman reportedly bought a latte from a drive-thru on South Fifth Street around noon Nov. 7 and expressed dissatisfaction with a purchase she'd made several weeks before. She grabbed a 1 pound bag of coffee from the window of the shop and drove away. 
• A cell phone was reportedly stolen from 1500 block of Elm Street in St. Charles between 11:30 Nov. 4 and midnight Nov. 5.
• An unknown man opened the driver's door while on North Third Street in St. Charles around 1:30 p.m. Nov. 8 and took a purse. 
• A 1995 Ford Aspire was reportedly stolen from the Trails of Sunbrook overnight Nov. 9. 

Property Damage

• A vehicle parked on Sun Lake Drive in St. Charles between 9 p.m. Nov. 6 and 2 p.m. Nov. 7 was keyed overnight.

Burglary

• A shop in the 400 block of South Main Street was burglarized between 5:30 p.m. Nov. 6 and 8:30 a.m. Nov. 7.
