Police Reports: Thief Steals Purse from Counter
St. Charles Police Reports: July 23-25.

Burglary
- A thief stole several glass pipes and bongs from Glad Rags, located at Hawks Nest Plaza between 2 a.m. and 7:20 a.m. July 23.
- Someone came into a home at Clock Tower Square through an unlocked sliding glass door and stole a 52-year-old woman's purse off of the counter around 4 p.m. July 22.
- Someone entered a house on Arcadia Drive through a locked back door between 11 p.m. July 23 and 4 p.m. July 24 and stole a flat screen tv, a video game system, laptop and a dvd player.
- Someone entered a building on Old South River Road and removed the cash machine which had about $500.
Robbery
- A 15-year-old said he was robbed on Randolph Street at gunpoint. The thief apparently took $80 in cash and a lighter. The incident occurred around 11 p.m. July 21 and was reported July 23.
Stealing

- A 55-year-old woman reported her wallet was stolen from her shopping cart while at a business on Mexico Road around 7 p.m. July 23. The thief used the credit cards in various places.
- Someone stole several video game systems and jewelry from a home at Chesstal Street between 7 a.m. and 6 p.m. July 23. A possible suspect is a family member.
- A business on West Clay Street reported an employee stole money from the cash register between July 9 and July 23.
- A camcorder, phone charger and a camera were stolen from a car parked at Gustane Drive on July 24 at 5:45 p.m.
- Prescription sunglasses were reported stolen from a car parked at the 500 block of Pike Street.
- A GPS was taken from an unlocked vehicle parked on Buckingham Place between 9 p.m. July 24 and noon July 25.
Property Damage
- The driver's front window was broken out while parked on Gallaher Avenue between 6:10 p.m. and 8:20 p.m. July 23.
- A vehicle tire was punctured with a sharp object while parked at Park Ct. between 1 a.m. and 8:45 a.m. July 24.

- Someone detonated a firework in an easement on Winding Glen Drive which resulted in the dry grass catching on fire. The incident happened around 2:43 am. July 25.
