Public Works Day is a Hit With Kids

Gloomy skies couldn't keep the kids away from the 10th Annual St. Charles Public Works Day on Friday. 

The event, held at St. Charles Soccer Complex Park, gave preschoolers the chance to learn all about the public works department and the services it performs for the city.

On display were a wheel loader, sewer televising truck and street sweepers for kids to climb aboard and pose for pictures.

A trike/bike course was an especially big hit with the kids, as were two snowplows that the kids were allowed to decorate with markers.
