Secondhand Home Decor Shop Gets Planning and Zoning Nod
Design on a Dime will occupy three storefronts in the Schnuck's development.

The St. Charles City Planning and Zoning Commission has given its approval to a conditional use permit for a secondhand home décor business at 1986 Zumbehl.
Design on a Dime, currently located in St. Peters, is looking to expand to three adjacent storefronts in the north end of the Schnuck's plaza.
The business will accept consignments, and the facility will have an intake room where items are cleaned up, painted, or repurposed before sale.

Hours are expected to be 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. Tuesdays, 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Wednesday through Saturday, noon to 4 p.m. Sundays. The shop will be closed Mondays.
The store plans to post signage instructing patrons not to leave goods outdoors during non-business hours.

City staff recommended approval. The conditional use permit will now be forwarded to the city council.
