St. Charles Police Reports Dec. 7-15

The following arrest information was supplied by the St. Charles Police Department. It does not indicate a conviction.

Stealing:

  • Two ladders were reportedly stolen from the beds of two work trucks parked at the Red Roof Inn at Zumbehl Road on Dec. 7. They were later recovered from a wooded area east of Red Roof Inn.
  • A single check was reportedly stolen from the center console of a person's vehicle parked at Bismark Drive in St. Charles between Dec. 4 and Dec. 5.
  • A Dewalt generator was reportedly taken from a construction site at Little Hills Expressway and Mel Wetter Parkway between 10:30 a.m. and 1:30 p.m. on Nov. 28.
  • A shoplifter was arrested for stealing alcohol from a shop on North Third Street on Dec. 8. The person was detained until police arrived.
  • A fiberoptic snowman was stolen from a yard on North Benton Avenue between 9 p.m. Dec. 9 and 6 a.m. Dec. 10.
  • Two keys were reportedly removed from a woman's unlocked car parked at Cascades Drive between 2:30 and 10:30 p.m. Dec. 22.
  • A woman reported that someone shattered her vehicle window using a concrete gutter splash block and stole a purse from the front seat sometime around midnight Dec. 12. The car was parked at Forest Hills Drive.
  • A student had a cell phone and $7 stolen from an unlocked gym locker between 2:30 p.m. and 4:15 p.m. Dec. 12.
  • A 2004 Chrysler Pacifica was reportedly stolen from Three Flags Center between 2 a.m. Dec. 11 and 3 p.m. Dec. 12.
  • A 70-year-old woman reported personal checks were taken by her grandson and cashed, but that she did not wish to prosecute and needed a report for bank purposes

Burglary

  • Someone entered a residence on Saint Henry on Dec. 10 through an unlcoked sliding front bedroom window, stole a safe located under the bed and left through the window.
  • Someone attempted to break into a residence at Brighton Park around 3 p.m. Dec. 10 and was interrupted by the victim. The suspect fled on foot but was apprehended later.
  • A cell phone was reportedly stolen from a home on West Adams Street between 1:15 a.m. and 7:40 a.m. Dec. 12. The home was vacant and being remodeled. Suspects entered through an insecure garage door and left behind power tools and gift cards at the residence.

  • A nylon blow up decorative Christmas figure was sliced or cut overnight on Dec. 12 at a house on Chandler Way.
  • Christmas lawn ornaments at a home on Woodlawn Drive in St. Charles were damaged. The victim reported the damage on Dec. 11.
  • An intoxicated person forced entry into a garage of the wrong residence on Connie Drive while thinking it was his home. The incident happened around 2:45 a.m. Dec. 11.
  • A woman reported that she found a large dent in the rear driver's side of her car after leaving Aldi's in St. Charles around 5:50 p.m. Dec. 7.
  • A woman reported her tire was punctured and the steel rim bent on her veichle which was parked on North Third Street in St. Charles between 8:30 a.m. and 4 p.m. Dec. 6.

Other

  • Police arrested someone for urinating in the city parking garage on North Second Street around 1:30 a.m. Dec. 11.
  • An intoxicated person was arrested at Ameristar Casino for trespassing after he refused to leave the casino on Dec. 10.
