A St. Charles County homeowner found a woman hiding in her closet and held her at gunpoint until officers arrived, a St. Charles County Sheriff's deputy reported. Brittnee Traylor, 21, of the 1400 block of South Drive in St. Charles County, was charged with first-degree burglary and felony theft. She is scheduled to appear in St, Charles County Circuit Court Friday. A St. Charles County Sheriff's deputy reported a woman found Traylor in her home in the 1200 block of Clearview Drive. The deputy said he found jewelry valued at $5,000 and the victim's car keys in Traylor's pocket. The woman's checkbook was laying by the rear door, where Traylor had dropped it, according to a court document. The deputy also found a clear bag under a tree near the garage. The bag contained loose change, the victim's handicapped parking placard, a car radio faceplate, a universal car charger and four packs of Marlboro cigarettes. It was lying with Traylor's coat and purse. Traylor lives about a block from the home.
