Sunday Fundays Kicks Off This Weekend On North Main

Visitors can buy a wristband and sample food from local eateries while enjoying live music from 1 p.m. to 6 p.m.

Sunday Fundays kicks off its summer season this weekend on North Main Street in St. Charles with live entertainment, food, drink and fun from 1 p.m. to 6 p.m.

The series of Sunday afternoon events presented by the Historic Downtown District is in its second year.

Participants purchase a wristband for $5. Each wristband has eight stubs, which can be used to sample foods from the participating restaurants.

Wristbands will be sold at a table near Tony's on Main.

Participating restaurants are Tony's On Main Street, Bobby's Place, Quintessential, R.T. Weiler's, Undertow, Lloyd and Harry's, Uncle Joe's and Eros.

Dates for the summer, along with  the theme of each date and the band (if known) are:

  • April 21, Desserts. Music by the Steve Woolley Band
  • May 19, Nachos.
  • June 9, Barbecue. Music by Hot Rod Moped
  • September 8, Cajun. 
  • October 6, Chili. Music by Staggercatts
