Two Charged with Stealing Car
Christopher Stephens and Shellie Teer are held on $20,000 bond.

Christopher M. Stephens, 20, and Shellie D. Teer, 19, were charged on May 23 with stealing a car and damaging property at a salvage yard in St. Charles.
Stephens and Teer, both from St. Louis, are accused of stealing a 2002 Dodge Intrepid from Jack's Auto Salvage, 2106 North Main Street on May 21.
According to a probable cause statement signed by St. Charles Police Officer Richard Fischer, Teer and Stephens got in the Intrepid and drove it into a Kio Rio parked in front of it, damaging both cars, then rammed gate, which was locked.

The Bridgeton police department found the car, with Teer and Stephens inside of it, off of the highway near Missouri Bottom Road. Stephens confessed to being a lookout for the while the vehicle was being stolen by Teer, according to the probable cause statement.
Bond was set at $20,000 for each. A case review is scheduled for June 6.
