
As St. Charles celebrates the Fourth of July with this long weekend, many local businesses are changing their hours to give employees a holiday break.
The following is a list of what Patch found to be open and closed over the holiday.
Government Offices
- City of St. Charles: City Hall will be closed July 4.
- Trash Collection: Trash will not be collected on Thursday, July 4. The Thursday routes will be collected on Friday and the Friday routes will be collected on Saturday.
- St. Charles County: County government offices will be closed.
- St. Charles City-County Library District: Branches will be closed Thursday, but will reopen Friday.
- U.S. Postal Service: Post offices are closed and mail will not be delivered Thursday, but the postal service schedule resumes with offices open and mail delivered on Friday.
Attractions/Entertainment
- St. Louis Zoo: Open 8 a.m. to 7 p.m Thursday.
- Bass Pro will be open from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. on July 4.
